This is my personal portfolio website. Here I briefly explain what data I collect when you use it or contact me through the form.
I, Bohdan Suprun, process personal data you submit through this site. For any questions, use the contact form or the email listed on the site.
If you message me via the contact form, I receive what you enter: name, email, subject, message, and any other form fields. For security, the server may temporarily log technical data such as your IP address.
With your consent I record anonymous usage statistics: page views, clicks and time on page. The tracker uses a first-party cookie and never sends your IP address. Separately, and without consent, the server records requests that never reach the browser features — crawlers, scanners, error responses and clients without JavaScript. For those I store the IP address for up to 48 hours and then delete it; the raw browser User-Agent string is deleted after 30 days. Aggregated counts are kept for up to 90 days, and requests blocked for security reasons are kept for up to 180 days as evidence. I do not build a profile of you, do not use fingerprints and do not share this data.
I use contact data only to reply to your message; you confirm consent with a checkbox before sending. Analytics cookies and event tracking run on your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Server-side security logging and bot detection run on my legitimate interest in keeping the site available and safe (art. 6(1)(f)). Your cookie choices are stored according to the banner settings.
Messages: as long as needed to reply and maintain a record of our correspondence — or shorter if the law requires it. Analytics events and server hits: 90 days. IP addresses in server hits: 48 hours. Raw User-Agent strings: 30 days. Daily aggregates without personal identifiers: up to 2 years. Security log entries: 180 days.
Under GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also contact your supervisory authority. Write to me and I will respond to your request.
Data is stored on infrastructure I control. I may use a mail service to send emails. I do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
